Minhao Zhai entered the program in 2015. He works on Buddhism and popular religion in Medieval China, with a special focus on the intertwined relationship between dhāraṇī scriptures and medieval Chinese society. He received his B.A. and M.A. in history from Fudan University (Shanghai) in 2011 and 2015, respectively. His previous works mainly focused on divination practices in Medieval China by using manuscripts discovered in Dunhuang and Turfan.
