2018-2019 Senior Award Recipients

John Robinson Memorial Prize:
Recipient: Alec B. Gewirtz
Founded in 1957 in memory of John Lee Robinson, Class of ’57, by his parents. Awarded to the senior in the Department of Religion who attains the highest departmental average.

Religion and Critical Thought:
Recipient: Jack D. Busche
Inaugurated in 1996, this prize is awarded annually to that student who has done the most outstanding or original independent work in the area of Religion and Critical Thought.

Religion & Ethnography:
Recipient: Tea N. Wimer
Inaugurated in 2012, is awarded to a student majoring in the Department of Religion who achieves distinction in ethnographic study of one or more religious communities.

Religion & Gender:
Recipient: Sophia J. Bhalla
Inaugurated in 2011, this prize is awarded to that student who has done the most outstanding or original independent work in Religion and Gender.

Religion & Philosophy
Recipient: Alec B. Gewirtz
Awarded to a student who has done the most outstanding or original independent work in the area of Religion and Philosophy.
