Prospective Graduate Students

A Notice to Prospective Students

We regret to announce that the Department of Religion will not accept applications for the graduate program during the 2020-2021 admissions cycle. We have made this difficult decision in consideration of the impact of COVID-19 on academic progress and professional opportunities, and have chosen this course to ensure that we have adequate resources to support those students currently in our program. The graduate program remains a core commitment of the department’s work and we look forward to welcoming a new cohort of graduate students when we resume admissions next year.

Information Session for Fall 2019

The information session will be conducted by the Director of Graduate Studies starting promptly at 9:30 a.m. with a general overview of the Department of Religion’s graduate program and time for Q&As. After the general overview, prospective graduate students are welcomed to attend classes throughout the day, meet faculty and graduate students relevant to their subfield of interest, visit Firestone Library, self-tour the campus or participate in the Orange Key Tour. For additional information on visiting campus, including visitor parking, please see “Planning Your Visit” section on the main Princeton University website.

Please do not email the professors directly for appointments. A comprehensive schedule for each registered prospective graduate student will include appointment times with department faculty. Schedules for registered students will be distributed at the information session beginning at 9:30 a.m. Thank you.
