Email this page Print this page The Department of Religion participates in Princeton’s Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Initiative aimed at supporting members of groups that are underrepresented in the academy and those who contribute to the University’s mission to enhance diversity. The Pre-Doctoral Fellowship provides a one-year, fully funded fellowship for a student who is offered regular admission to the Department of Religion but who would benefit from additional training – such as advanced language study in their field of research or graduate-level coursework in methods or field-specific topics – before beginning the program formally. Pre-Doctoral students participate fully in the life of the Department and the University and, following successful completion of the fellowship year, join the cohort of first-year students.Students who plan to apply to Princeton and are interested in the Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Initiative are encouraged to consult the Department of Religion’s Director of Graduate Studies for more information. Professor Eric Gregory ([email protected]) is currently serving in this capacity for the 2024-2025 academic year.
