Email [email protected] Bio/Description Aysenur Cam joined the Philosophy and Religion subfield of the Religion department in 2019. Her research focuses on Islamic philosophy and theology as well as Qur’anic hermeneutics. Some of her past research has looked to Muslim epistemologies of divine names, Qur’anic conceptions of rizq and israf, and the philosophical necessity of prophethood. She is also interested in what a lived Muslim theology looks like in thought and practice. Her research has been supported by the Princeton University Center for Human Values, the Templeton Foundation’s project in Theology, Science, Knowledge, the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies, and the Near Eastern Studies Department at Princeton. She received her B.A. in Philosophy from Rutgers University, New Brunswick.
