Email [email protected] Bio/Description During the 2017-2018 academic year, Candace Jordan is a first year doctoral student in the Religion, Ethics, and Politics subfield pursuing a concentration in African-American Studies. Her research interests include 19th-20th century African-American religious and political thought; Black and womanist theologies of liberation; religion in American public life; and the civic uses of Nietzschean resentment. Candace graduated magna cum laude from Haverford College with a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy (2012), after which she served as a writing instructor and learning consultant in the USA and abroad. Candace is the past recipient of fellowships from the Mellon Mays Foundation and New York University Abu Dhabi. She currently holds the Princeton University President’s fellowship and a grant from the Center for Human Values.
