Kyle Bond

Bio/Description

Kyle graduated from Seattle University with a BA in Philosophy in 2006 and in 2011 he graduated from the University of Washington with an MA in Comparative Religion. He joined the program in 2012. His areas of interest include theory and method in the study of religions, Buddhist studies, oral tradition studies, Zen studies, and phenomenology of religion. So far his research theme is very broad. He is interested in researching the real as well as the ideal, the textual as well as the oral dimensions of the transmission of Buddhist tradition in medieval Japan.
