I've chosen an academic career path. After graduating from the PhD program in the Islam subfield at Princeton's Religion department, I returned to my home country (Germany) for a 5-year postdoctoral research fellow position at the Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient, an independent research institute which is funded by the German Leibniz Association. In October this year, I started a new position as postdoctoral fellow at the Freie Universität Berlin.
