Bio/Description

Sibgha joined the Islamic studies subfield in 2024. She graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2020, where she majored in Religious Studies and Middle Eastern Studies. In 2022, she obtained her Master's in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, and went on to study abroad in Jordan on a CASA fellowship. Sibgha’s work centers around Sufism, Islamic ethics, and Islamic theology. She is particularly interested in exploring the intersection of the epistemological and moral dimensions of Islamic spirituality as expressed in classical Divine Names commentaries, Persian Sufi didactic poetry, and hagiographical narratives.
