Zainab Rashid completed her B.A. in history from Lady Shri Ram College and subsequently earned her M.A. degree from the University of Delhi, India. She joined the department (Islam sub-field) in 2022. She is interested in exploring the Islamic revivalist movements in South Asia in their contemporary setting. She is trying to study the interplay of religion, history, and politics in shaping the modern Muslim social and cultural milieu, especially in the contemporary North Indian landscape.
