The Princeton Religious Literacy Program (PRLP)

Welcome to a new semester Princetonians!

Are you looking for professional development opportunities for your resume? Or interested in the role of religion in diversity, equity, and inclusion?

Whether you’re planning for a career in the sciences or humanities, religious literacy is key to a more equitable and inclusive working environment. As future members of a 21st century workforce, understanding the multifaceted role religion plays in social, cultural, political, personal and, above all, professional life will equip you to work and collaborate more effectively in an increasingly diverse and international workforce.

To that end, the Princeton Religious Literacy Program (PRLP) has opened applications for a 2023-2024 cohort of future undergraduate professionals. Accepted participants will attend small group discussions, enjoy great food, and hear from Princeton Alumni and experts in the study of religion. Students who participate in at least four sessions in the academic year will receive certification from PRLP to add to their resumes.

Fall workshop topics will include:

  1. Putting Religion to Work: An Alumni Panel  (Monday, Oct 23rd from 11am-1pm)
  2. Scriptural Reasoning: Interreligious Perspectives (Tuesday, Nov 7th from  4:30-6pm)
  3. Islam, Gender, and Sexuality (Monday, Nov 13th from 11am-1pm)
